At last, time to write and let you know how happy everyone was with the venue and the extremely high level of attention every member of your staff gave to making our event such a success. From the start of the booking process to the event itself everyone involved with Southport Convention Centre were always helpful and available to deal with any enquiries.
The competitors and the working team gave such praise to the fantastic way any and every problem or query was dealt with, nothing was too much trouble.
The speed at the walls coming down on Saturday at the end of the first day of our event ensuring the Waterfront Suite was ready for the carvery with dancing in the evening and then at 7.00am it was just as we left it at 6.00pm the night before, fantastic. What a team at the Convention Centre and a huge thank you to each and every one of them, Wendy who dealt with all my phone calls, Sarah always there to discuss the requirements needed. For the weekend event Sarah, Helen and Philip were available at all times which helped to ensure the 2013 KFA Championships were such a success.
As you know this was my last national event for the KFA due to my resignation in September, but as my last event I could not have been happier than to end it in Southport at the Convention Centre.

Yesterday I attended the JISC event at the theatre.
I was really struck by the superb service provided by the STCC staff – absolutely nothing was too much trouble.
The electricians, catering staff, door staff…. everyone was really cheerful and helpful – as a visitor it was extremely noticeable, it made the day a real pleasure and makes me want to recommend the venue to as many other people as possible.
Excellent service is an increasingly rare thing, so really, really well done.

I have used Southport Theatre and Convention Centre since 2009 as the venue for the safeguarding training I deliver. At all times the service I received from the Centre was excellent beginning with the booking process and my requirements for the training, right through to the day of the training. As these are large training events they would not have run as smoothly as they did without the support of the staff at Southport Theatre.

We all thought it was a great night; the food was really good, the entertainment was great and the whole night seemed very well organised. I often find that when I go to party nights I get served last because I have the vegetarian meal and all the meat eaters in the room get their food first and I’m sat waiting, getting very hungry. It was a nice change to be the first one served at the table and to get food that is more inspiring than the usual melon and lasagne that most places have as vegetarian option. We all agreed the dessert was wonderful. Please send me any further information on party nights and I will definitely be recommending it to others.

I do not remember, ever, when we have received so many compliments on a Show, not only on how we had organised it, but also on how friendly, kind, helpful and cheerful the staff at the STCC were throughout the Show. At every point in the Show whenever we needed help it was there, if we or our competitors/visitors were going wrong in some way it was dealt with in a firm but fair way which drew nothing but praise from everyone.
Your Staff handled the crowds superbly. Whenever we passed through the halls we were stopped by visitors saying what a lovely venue it was, how well our show suited the halls, and very friendly staff. This does not normally happen and the comments were repeated by my committee members who have worked in other venues and know the kind of comments our visitors usually make. We may be volunteers but we do pride ourselves on doing a professional job and love to work alongside a team as good as yours.
